Use of Courts at Leelanau School

To: All Pickleball and Tennis players

From: The Glen Arbor Park Commission and The Leelanau School

Re: Use of Leelanau School courts

Friends, The Leelanau School is under state mandate to be closed during this time of Covid-19 mitigation. However, the school has made a special effort to make their outdoor courts available to us for tennis and pickleball play.

There are some rules that the school and the park commission agree are reasonable in the effort to prevent the spread of disease. We ask that you follow these steps if you plan to use the outdoor courts at the school:

  1. Call the school’s security office number (231-835-1714) to reserve court times. The courts will become available for play on June 13. The hours of play are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  2. You will be asked to respond to four questions regarding your health. These are questions that are recommended by local health departments. They are simple matters of self-assessment and not unduly intrusive. Players will be required to follow this procedure every time they wish to enter the campus.
  3. Indoor courts will not be open for play due to the difficulty in sanitizing the facility.

If you have any questions about these procedures, please call Ron Calsbeek at 616-560-6448 or email him at [email protected] or Rob Dymond at the school security office listed above.
